Azure managed support
Azure managed support services
Azure that stays secure, stable and on budget. UK-based Azure managed support for your cloud infrastructure and workloads: monitoring, security, cost control and expert engineering. Fully managed, or working alongside your IT team.
What's covered
Azure managed support across your cloud estate
One specialist team for your Microsoft Azure environment. We keep your infrastructure performant, secure, compliant and cost-effective, with scope and responsibilities set before the service begins.
Azure infrastructure & VM support
Virtual machines, networking, storage and platform services kept patched, healthy and performing.
Landing zones & governance
Management groups, Azure Policy and tagging maintained, so every new workload lands secure and compliant.
Cost optimisation & FinOps
Right-sizing, reservations, savings plans and budget controls that cut waste and keep spend predictable.
Infrastructure as code
Bicep and Terraform deployments under version control, so every change is repeatable, reviewed and auditable.
Azure security & identity
Entra ID, role-based access, Privileged Identity Management and Defender for Cloud, applied with Zero Trust principles.
Backup & disaster recovery
Azure Backup and Site Recovery configured, monitored and tested, so you can recover when it counts.
Azure Kubernetes & DevOps
AKS clusters, containers and deployment pipelines supported, secured and kept up to date.
Monitoring & compliance
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Microsoft Sentinel alerting mapped to your compliance requirements.
Proactive Azure management
Stopping Azure issues before they reach your users
We monitor, manage and optimise your Azure environment continuously, closing security gaps, improving performance and controlling spend before problems reach your users.
Monitoring & alert response
Alerts triaged and acted on, not just forwarded to your inbox. 24/7 cover available.
Security & patch management
Regular patching and Defender for Cloud posture reviews keep your estate current and hardened.
Continuous cost optimisation
Idle resources and waste removed on an ongoing basis, so you only pay for what you use.
Problem management
Incident history used to find recurring faults and fix the underlying causes.
Disaster recovery testing
Scheduled failover tests and recovery validation, so your DR plan works when you need it.
Service reporting & guidance
Monthly reports and architectural guidance that keep stakeholders informed and your roadmap on track.
Platforms and activities
Azure services and support activities
Your service can cover the following Azure services and activities. The final scope reflects your subscriptions, architecture, workloads and the responsibilities retained by your internal team.

Keep your subscriptions structured, governed and consistent as your estate grows.
Azure cost management and FinOps
Visibility and control over what you spend, with recommendations your team can act on.
Entra ID and access control
Access to your Azure resources kept controlled, reviewed and documented.
Defender for Cloud and security posture
Support for the security configuration that protects your Azure workloads.
Azure Backup and disaster recovery
Protection for your data and workloads, with recovery arrangements documented and tested.
Infrastructure as code and AKS
Support for the pipelines and platforms your teams use to build and run applications.
Why Konsolute
Azure support for government, nuclear and regulated organisations
Your Azure estate should be supported by people who know the platform inside out, and who understand what's at stake in a regulated environment. Clearance and access requirements are confirmed before any engineer works in your subscriptions.
Direct senior escalation
Complex issues go straight to senior UK-based Azure engineers, and to Microsoft where required. We manage the escalation, not you.
Well-architected alignment
Regular reviews against the Azure Well-Architected Framework: reliability, security, cost, performance and operational excellence.
SC and DV-cleared engineers
SC and DV-cleared engineers for environments that require them, with clearance confirmed before any engineer is given access.
Microsoft to the core
Founded in 2016 by former Microsoft employees and trusted by UK public sector and nuclear organisations. Microsoft technology is all we do.
Switching is simple
Moving your Azure support to Konsolute
We assess your estate, set scope and responsibilities, and deploy monitoring and access before go-live, with a coordinated handover that keeps your workloads supported.
1. Discover
We review your subscriptions, architecture and current support.
2. Assess
A health, security and cost assessment finds risks and quick wins.
3. Agree scope
Together we define coverage, responsibilities and escalation routes.
4. Onboard
We deploy monitoring, set up access and complete knowledge transfer.
5. Go live
We confirm readiness and take over the services in scope.
6. Optimise
Regular service reviews cover performance, cost and improvements.
Monitor.Secure.Optimise.
Managed or co-managed
Azure support that fits your IT team
Hand us day-to-day Azure operations entirely, or keep your team in control and use us for specialist escalation, governance, FinOps or out-of-hours cover. Either way, ownership, access and handovers are set up front.
See it in practice: Konsolute optimised GSK's Azure costs with a Bicep service catalogue, and deployed an Azure Landing Zone with secure DevOps for a defence government organisation.
Service boundaries
Clear service coverage, security and responsibilities
Before onboarding, we agree what is supported, who can authorise changes and how incidents are handled, so there are no grey areas when something breaks.
Support hours, priorities and escalation
Contact channels, supported hours, incident priorities and response targets are agreed up front. Response targets cover when we engage; resolution depends on the issue and any dependencies on Microsoft or other providers.
Administrative access and security incidents
We use least privilege and just-in-time access where possible, and remove access when responsibilities change. A dedicated SOC, managed detection and response or forensic investigation are scoped separately.
Backup, recovery and data protection
We document which workloads are protected, how often, and who owns recovery decisions. Recovery point and recovery time objectives are set per workload, not assumed across your whole estate.
Azure consumption, projects and connected services
Azure consumption is billed separately from the support service, and we confirm which subscriptions and workloads sit inside the support boundary. Migrations, re-architecture, new landing zones and application development are scoped as separate projects.
FAQ
Azure managed support FAQs
Coverage, costs, security, onboarding and pricing.
Konsolute’s Azure managed support covers the day-to-day operation of your cloud estate: infrastructure monitoring and incident response, landing zone governance, Entra ID and access management, FinOps cost optimisation, backup and disaster recovery, and continuous security and compliance. Choose fully managed support, or a co-managed service that works alongside your internal team.
Migrations, re-architecture and new build work are scoped and priced separately.
We apply FinOps practices to review your environment continuously: right-sizing underused virtual machines, removing idle resources, managing Azure Reservations and Savings Plans, configuring autoscaling, and enforcing budgets and alerts. The result is less waste and a more predictable monthly bill.
Yes. 24/7 monitoring and critical-incident response are available as part of the service. Our UK-based team tracks environment health, performance and security alerts, and responds to high-priority incidents before they cause downtime. Support hours and response targets are confirmed in your service agreement.
Yes. Konsolute supports UK public sector and highly regulated organisations, including the nuclear sector. Our Azure managed services follow NCSC cloud security principles and UK Government security standards, and are delivered under ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Yes. Konsolute has UK-based engineers holding SC (Security Check) and DV (Developed Vetting) clearance for government, nuclear and regulated environments. Clearance and access requirements are confirmed for your subscriptions before onboarding.
With fully managed Azure support, Konsolute takes responsibility for your cloud operations, monitoring, maintenance and security. With co-managed support, our Azure engineers work as an extension of your in-house team, taking on specialist escalation, governance, FinOps or out-of-hours cover while your team keeps control of the rest.
Pricing depends on the size and complexity of your Azure estate, the subscriptions and workloads in scope, the hours of cover you need and the responsibilities your team keeps. Azure consumption is billed separately from the support service. Share your requirements and we’ll provide a clear quotation.
Most Azure environments can be onboarded and fully monitored within one to two weeks. We start with a health and security assessment to map your architecture, review permissions, deploy monitoring and confirm service levels, all without disrupting live workloads.
We apply Zero Trust principles using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Policy, backed by regular vulnerability scans, access reviews and configuration audits. This keeps your estate aligned with frameworks such as UK GDPR, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
Yes, where it’s in scope. Tell us about on-premises infrastructure, Azure Arc-connected servers, multiple tenants or subscriptions and third-party services during discovery. We assess them before confirming coverage, so responsibilities are never assumed.
Yes. Azure rarely runs in isolation, so we also support Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune. Cross-service issues stay with one team instead of bouncing between suppliers.
Yes. Every engagement starts with a health check. Our engineers review your landing zones, security posture, performance bottlenecks and billing anomalies, then give you a prioritised set of recommendations before you move to managed support.
