Microsoft 365 Integration Services
Microsoft 365 integration services for Teams, SharePoint and Outlook
Connect Microsoft 365 to the business systems your teams rely on. Konsolute engineers Microsoft Graph integrations, connected workflows and backend services across Teams, SharePoint, Outlook and approved third-party platforms, so collaboration and business records stay in step.
WHAT THIS HELPS YOU ACHIEVE
Collaboration connected to a complete business process
Make Microsoft 365 actions part of a defined exchange, with permissions, reliable processing and clear ownership across connected services.
Reduce manual handovers
Connect collaboration events to the business records and actions that would otherwise depend on repeated updates.
Control information access
Design the identity and permission model for each operation, including how users receive information from backend services.
Make exchanges traceable
Track requests and updates through workflows and integrated systems, with evidence of completion and a route to recovery.
Maintain the connection
Define ownership of credentials, consent, notification subscriptions and the changes needed as services evolve.
OUR MICROSOFT 365 INTEGRATION SERVICES
Integration engineering across your Microsoft 365 environment
Select a focused integration, improve an existing connection or define a programme of connected Microsoft 365 workstreams.
Microsoft Graph engineering
Build against supported Microsoft Graph APIs for the required Microsoft 365 resources. Define request contracts, permission scopes and the execution model, with pagination, throttling, change detection and error handling engineered around the specific endpoints involved.
Teams & collaboration integration
Bring relevant business information and actions into Teams through supported app experiences and workflow integrations. Define how notifications, contextual links and user actions connect to backend services, with app deployment, identity and access validated for the target users.
SharePoint & document integration
Connect documents, libraries and list records to business applications and processes. Design metadata mappings, document references, upload and update behaviour, with SharePoint permissions and source ownership assessed alongside the access used by the integration.
Outlook & calendar integration
Integrate supported mail and calendar operations with business workflows. Assess user and shared-mailbox access, event creation and updates, with appropriate permissions, duplicate handling and reconciliation so business records and collaboration activity remain traceable.
Business systems & workflow
Connect Microsoft 365 to CRM, ERP, finance, HR and other services using supported APIs, Power Automate, Logic Apps and custom adapters where needed. Define the source of each record, transformation rules and recovery when an external update fails.
Integration security & operations
Design Entra app registrations, consent and least-privilege access for the integration. Establish credential ownership, deployment configuration and monitoring, with runbooks for permission failures, subscription renewal, throttling and incomplete processing.
CAPABILITIES & DELIVERY SCOPE
The engineering behind the connection
Explore the API operations, workload experiences, permission boundaries and processing patterns that make the integration usable and operable.
API operations & contracts
Map the required business operation to supported Graph endpoints, connectors or workload APIs. Document payloads, identifiers, pagination and expected errors. Confirm which operations support the chosen access model and how changes to schemas or service behaviour will be assessed.
Identity, permissions & consent
Distinguish on-behalf-of-user actions from app-only processing. Define permission scopes, consent and resource-specific restrictions where supported. Record tenant and app ownership, credential protection and review responsibilities, including the authorisation applied when users consume information returned by a backend.
Teams actions & user context
Define how users see information and initiate work through the supported Teams experience. Map each action to backend authorisation and a business operation, with the target client, app deployment and error feedback validated.
Documents, records & access
Define which system owns the document or record and whether the integration references, copies or updates it. Assess metadata, permissions and the effect of moves, deletions and changed access. Test the app's actual access rather than assume it matches the permissions of every end user.
Change detection & synchronisation
Assess change notifications, supported delta queries or scheduled reads against the resource and freshness requirements. Design subscription renewal, durable processing state and reconciliation. A notification triggers investigation or processing; it is not assumed to prove that a downstream business transaction completed.
Azure processing & orchestration
Use Power Automate or Logic Apps for suitable supported workflows and Azure Functions or containerised services for custom processing. Assess Service Bus for decoupled work and API Management for governed backend interfaces. Specify validation, idempotency and recovery across external-system boundaries.
Delivery, monitoring & recovery
Version integration assets and app configuration, with controlled environment promotion. Correlate Graph requests, workflow runs and backend operations. Respect throttling responses, monitor failed or stale synchronisation and provide runbooks for credential expiry, permission changes and safe replay.
Integration acceptance & handover
Exercise the exchange with representative identities, operations and failure scenarios. Record what the integration can access, how completion is confirmed and which limits remain. Hand over configuration, evidence and support boundaries to the accountable teams.
TECHNICAL DESIGN DECISIONS
Make the access and processing decisions explicit
The design needs to account for who acts, what they can access and how the business outcome is confirmed.
User-driven or unattended
Choose delegated or application access per operation. Confirm endpoint support and validate the effective permissions rather than assume both models behave alike.
Reference, copy or synchronise
Define where each record is authoritative and what the integration changes. Copying documents or returning app-only results can introduce new access and lifecycle responsibilities.
Notifications and reconciliation
Select supported change detection and define processing state. Plan subscription renewal and recovery so a missed or repeated event does not leave the business outcome unexplained.
Ownership beyond launch
Assign consent review, credential renewal, workflow connections, monitoring and incident handling. Integration ownership crosses application, Microsoft 365 and external-system teams.
OUR APPROACH
How we deliver Microsoft 365 integration
Six stages take each connection from a mapped business exchange to a tested, owned integration running in production.
Map the business exchange
Identify users, workload resources, business systems and the record or action the connection must support.
Confirm supported operations
Assess API or connector support, licensing, data contracts, rate limits and expected update frequency.
Design access and processing
Define identities, consent, permission boundaries, processing state and the response to partial failure.
Implement the connection
Build the required app experiences, workflows and backend services through controlled configuration and code.
Validate completion and recovery
Test representative roles and operations, including denied access, duplicate events and unavailable destinations.
Deploy and transfer ownership
Validate live exchanges and provide configuration, evidence, runbooks and a maintained action backlog.

ILLUSTRATIVE INTEGRATION FLOW
Connect a Microsoft 365 action to a verified system update
Consider a workflow where a Teams action or SharePoint document update needs to change a record in another system. We define how the integration accepts the event, checks the operation and confirms its business outcome.
See it in practice: Konsolute connected Willis Towers Watson's existing systems with Power Platform, replacing manual handovers with reliable end-to-end workflows.

FAQ
Microsoft 365 integration FAQs
Graph, permissions, Teams, SharePoint, licensing and support.
We assess supported operations across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and other relevant Microsoft 365 services. Integrations can connect collaboration activity with approved business applications, with the exact operations, permissions and licensing established during discovery.
No. Graph exposes many Microsoft 365 resources, but supported operations and access models vary. We assess Graph alongside workload-specific APIs, supported app frameworks and connectors, recording the limitations and any backend services required.
Delegated access acts on behalf of a signed-in user and is constrained by the granted scopes and that user’s access. Application permissions enable app-only processing without a signed-in user and can have a different reach. We choose and test the model for each operation.
We can assess supported Teams app and workflow patterns that surface information, notify users or initiate backend actions. The scope defines the experience, identity model, app deployment and authorisation, with the connected system remaining accountable for its business records.
Potentially, depending on the operation, permission model and mailbox configuration. We validate supported access and the roles required, then design creation, update and reconciliation behaviour around the business process. Mail and calendar permissions are not assumed to be interchangeable.
We assess site and content permissions alongside the identity used by the integration. Referencing a document, copying it or reading it with application permissions creates different requirements. The design tests what the app can access and what each user is allowed to receive.
We assess the vendor’s supported interfaces, authentication, licence requirements and limits. The integration specifies data ownership, mappings, update timing and recovery, with a defined responsibility for changes to either side of the connection.
We assess supported notifications and change-tracking capabilities for the relevant resource. Some requirements may need scheduled processing or reconciliation. We define the required freshness, subscription lifecycle and recovery rather than assume all Microsoft 365 changes support immediate delivery.
We design request patterns, concurrency and retry behaviour around the endpoint and workload. The integration respects throttling responses and Retry-After guidance where returned, with monitoring for growing backlogs or repeated failures. Immediate repeated retries can worsen the problem.
That depends on the workload operations, users, connectors and implementation. We check Microsoft 365 and Power Platform entitlements, third-party requirements and Azure consumption separately. An existing subscription does not imply every integration capability is included.
We test the agreed operations with representative users and workload identities, including denied access, changed permissions and unavailable destinations. Validation also covers duplicate events, incomplete processing and the evidence needed to distinguish an accepted request from a completed business update.
Handover identifies owners for consent, credentials, workflow connections, notification subscriptions and monitoring. Ongoing support can cover maintenance and failures, with coverage, escalation and responsibilities agreed across Konsolute, your administrators and third-party system owners.
